I graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a Bachelor of Science in Communication with a concentration in Web Design & Analysis and a Certificate in Graphic Design. I'm currently working on my masters degree part-time at Harvard. The degree I am working towards is a masters in Information Technology with a concentration in Digital Media Arts and Instructional Design. My co-workers have often referred to me as a "sponge" because I absorb information quickly and can teach myself anything.
I have incredible time management skills that can't be taught. I continually finish projects ahead of schedule. For my previous job, clients purchased a certain number of hours for a project, and we billed them as we used the hours. I never went over the allotted amount of time and always finished the projects within the budget of the client. In my current job I am responsible for managing the workloads of multiple vendors, as well as my own. I am constantly working on one of our many event fundraising sites, rolling it over for a new year, and improving the functionality from year to year. I have also been told, on many ocassions, that I am able to accomplish more in 4 hours, than most people can in 8.
I love to learn. I love to be challenged. The more of both the better. I love to be busy. As a child I had a love of puzzles and languages, as well as taking things apart and figuring out how to put them back together. I look at web development as a wonderful combination of all three, which makes me love it even more. If I set my mind to do something, it will get done, no matter what. Whether it is an 80 hour site build that has to be completed in 4 days (because there was a mistake with scheduling), or a new language or content management system, I will accomplish it.
